This music was created in 2015-2016 as part of a long-term, long-distance collaboration between dropshift dance and composers Elliot Cless and Luke Gullickson. In regular communication with dropshift's artists, the composers swapped roles generating, embellishing, structuring, and editing material to create a sonic fabric that touches on Americana folk, lo-fi indie music, and analog electronic colors with an openness to environmental ambient sound.

These pieces all appeared, in various forms and with additional connective material, as part of dropshift's FloatBrilliance project in Chicago in June 2016.
